Selkirk Studio Brandguidelines
A comprehensive brand identity project for a proposed wellness retreat housed within the Bernat Klein Studio, a Grade A-listed modernist building designed by Peter Womersley in 1972. The building originally served as the creative headquarters for textile designer Bernat Klein, whose revolutionary fabrics supplied couture houses including Chanel and Dior.
The Challenge Develop a complete visual identity system that honours the site's architectural significance and textile heritage while positioning it as a contemporary wellness destination offering pilates, yoga, breathwork and meditation.
The Approach Created "Architectural Weave" — a design philosophy that translates Womersley's horizontal concrete cantilevers and vertical brick service core into a visual language inspired by textile construction: warp and weft. This concept authentically bridges the building's modernist architecture with Klein's textile legacy.
