Brief:   

Create a new beer brand for Gen Z — a generation rewriting how and where they drink, but currently underserved by every brand in the category.
Organisation: 

BrandOpus is a London-based independent brand design agency. Their annual Hatch competition invites design students to respond to a live brief, creating a new brand from strategic foundation to full visual identity. The 2026 brief challenged entrants to design a beer brand that genuinely connects with Gen Z audiences in the UK.  
 Solution:

REFILL is a Modern Table IPA, 3.2% ABV, brewed with chamomile and lemon verbena and served in a 720ml flask with ceramic cups. It's designed for a specific occasion that no beer brand has thought to claim: the dinner party. Not a pub round, not a festival pint — the table. The moment when no one wants to leave.
